Charlotte School of Law Denied Continued Access to Federal Student Aid Dollars
The U.S. Department of Education announced that as of December 31, 2016, that it will no longer grant Charlotte School of Law access to federal student financial aid. Charlotte School of Law is a for-profit institution owned by Infilaw System.
The Department’s decision to prohibit Charlotte School of Law from drawing federal student financial aid occurred after the Department “concluded that Charlotte School of Law’s non-compliance with the fundamental standards set by its accreditor, the American Bar Association (ABA), resulted in its violation of the Higher Education Act, the Department’s regulations, and [its] own Program Participation Agreement with the Department.”
